Lockdown
22nd May 2020
Hello, hope everyone is okay and staying safe during these unprecedented times.
At my last count we have been in lockdown for 9 weeks or so (and counting), it has been a very challenging time for everyone across the whole world!
From my own point of view the lack of photography has been a nightmare, i am so used to photographing grassroots sport so i like everyone is having to lead a different sort of life which is hard going at times.
At the same time, lockdown is an important part of trying to control this virus and if it in the long run saves lives and everything else i am all for it.
However weekends have been very different, i am either exercising and/or watching Belarusian and German (Bundesliga Football)
As far as my business goes, i am trying to generate sales from old photographs, these are photos which i have not put on my website so i figured i would get them out to everyone and see if i get any success.
Obviously over the prolonged period i will be posting more and more galleries probably about 2/3 times a week.
Long term everyone is unsure of whats going to happen, sporting wise especially down at Grassroots it would be a surprise if we get any play at all this year!. 2021 seems the most likely start date which is a long way off, unless of course we get some kind of miracle.
If i have any positives about this situation, i guess the time to refresh and update my business and learn new skills has been the main thing.
Trying to develop other types of photography other than sport has been another focus during the last few weeks.
Plans moving forward are to develop and offer more photography so while we go through this crisis expect different things to be posted on the website.
And finally for now, the website is going to have a full upgrade which will be a key focus as we progress through this crisis.
In the mean time stay safe and well, speak soon!
